Golf Tasmania is pleased to announce the 2015 Tasmanian Boys’ Team.

This six man team will contest the Australian Boys’ Amateur and Interstate Teams Matches at the Kooyonga and Links Lady Bay Golf Clubs in South Australia.

Returning to the boys’ team in 2015 are Riverside Golf Club’s Sam Manix-Geeves and Kingston Beach Golf Club’s Elijah Stanley.  Manix-Geeves has been named Captain for 2015

New members of the team are Riverside’s Zachary Swan, Kingston Beach’s Gus Burrell, Mowbray’s Lachlan McDougall and Paul Siejka from the Launceston Golf Club.

County Club Tasmania Professional, Bryce Gorham, has been named as Coach.

Mowbray Golf Club member, Peter Harwood will manage the team in this his second year in role.

Golf Tasmania has also announced that Brady Ludbey and Jonty Williams will travel with the team and participate in the Australian Boys’ Amateur as part of the Development Squad program.

The Australian Boys' Amateur Championship will be conducted at the Kooyonga Golf Club from April 8-10 and is open to players aged under 18 years on the first day of play.

It is contested over 72-holes stroke play (cut after 36-holes), with a handicap limit of approximately 4.4.

The 2015 running of the Boys’ Interstate Team Matches will be conducted at the Links Lady Bay Club from April 13-16.

The first Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches was played in 1958 and is Australia's premier Junior Amateur Team Golf Championship.

Each State and Territory is represented by six players with five players contesting singles match play each round in a round robin format.
