Overnight leader Lincoln Tighe has come out firing in his second round. Knocking in three birdies, including two back-to-back on 10 and 11, he has rocketed back into the lead alongside Matt Jones who shot 3-under earlier in the day.
Just three shots behind the leaders is our very own big hitter, Victorian Todd Sinnott. Sinnott carded a tight 1-under today to position himself perfectly heading into the weekend at 4-under. He will be one to watch over the next two days.
World no.1 Jordan Spieth has just recorded his first blemish on the 15th however has proven he means business sitting 3-under with a couple of holes still to play.
And it’s been a blistering start for Kiwi Daniel Pearce who is in the final group of the day. Pearce birdied his first five holes to jump right into contention. A bogey on 16 his first blemish and he sits 3-under through eight.
Further back in the field, it’s been a mixed bag for Aussie favourite Nick Cullen after a 1-under first round. His second round card includes three birdies, one bogey and one double bogey with 5 holes still to play.
