Glenelg Golf Club in Adelaide is primed to host the 2007 MFS Australian Women's Senior Amateur and inaugural MFS Mid Amateur Championships in October.

The ever popular Australian Women's Senior Amateur will be held from 9-12 October, taking the form of 36-hole stroke qualifying followed by match play. 2006 Champion, Wendy O'Connell from Wantima Golf Club in Queensland, is sure to be back to defend her title, however three-time Champion Sylvia Donohoe from NSW, and 2004 winner Marilyn Clifford from Victoria would certainly also be in contention.

With the introduction of the Australian Mid Amateur Championship for players aged 30 to 54 years, the Women's Senior Amateur will for the first time, be contested by those players 55 years and over.

The inaugural Women's Mid Amateur Championship will be played over 54-hole stroke play, from 10-12 October and will be hotly contested by Australia’s finest golfers.

Following recent renovations, Glenelg Golf Course places importance on being accurate from the tee, with little relief around the greens, and providing a testing array of risks and opportunities.
