Allenby in the hunt

Robert Allenby shot a disappointing one-over par 73 in the third round of the Ginn Sur Mer Classic in Florida, but is still in contention with one round to go. Starting the day at five-under in a tie for second place, Allenby got off to the perfect start with a birdie on the opening hope, but three bogeys in four holes ruined his round as he slipped down to a tie for seventh place three shots off the lead. Lonard was also in a tie for second place at the start of play, but he plummeted down the leaderboard with a disappointing four-over par. American Michael Letzig leads the field at seven-under par, one stroke clear of Kenneth Ferrie, John Huston and Ryan Palmer. Letzig had six birdies and four bogeys in the third round to take the lead at the Ginn Hammock Beach Resort. A little-known American seeking his second PGA Tour victory, Palmer was at nine-under late in the round but bogeyed numbers 15, 16 and 18 to surrender the lead. Mark Wilson and Ken Duke is a further shot back in a tie for third. Of the other Australians, Gavin Coles and Nick O&aposHern are still an outside chance of victory at two-under par, while Matt Jones, Michael Sim and Lonard are at one-under.
