Allenby within touch in Hawaii

Sportal Robert Allenby has fired a sizzling four-under par round of 66 to be only four strokes from the lead after the second round of the Sony Open in Hawaii. The Aussie is firmly in the hunt for the $US918,000 winners cheque, having finished the day at seven-under par and in striking distance of equal leaders Luke Donald and Paul Goydos who are at eleven-under par. Goydos and Charlos Howell III were the big movers on day two having both carded seven-under par rounds of 63. John Senden and Andrew Buckle, who matched Allenby&aposs round of 66, are the next best Australians in the field seven shots adrift of the leaders at four-under par. Rod Pampling is a further shot back at three-under par while Nathan Green, who finished fifth in the event in 2006, fell back with a one-over par round to be at two-under for the tournament. Nine of the fifteen Australians that began the tournament have made the cut with US Tour debutant Jarrod Lyle, Geoff Ogilvy, Gavin Coles and Matthew Goggin also making it through.
