In recent months, ALPG have been working to develop a stronger, more contemporary, recognisable and, ultimately, valuable brand ID for the organisation. This, along with a more strategic and integrated marketing plan, has been designed to place ALPG in a better position to make the most of opportunities that are made available to us, as well as create new ones.
rn
The new ALPG logo has been designed to present us as a contemporary, dynamic and passionate sporting organisation. It reflects the unique and engaging sporting spectacle that is women&aposs professional golf. A game of accuracy, nerves of steel, power, strength, finesse, skill, athleticism and fun. Our new colours also reflect the qualities of ALPG – freshness, endurance, elegance, respect and balance.
rn
We’ve also added a tagline to our new logo – ‘Game On’. We feel this reflects the positive, challenging, enthusiastic, ‘go-out-n-get-em’ attitude that the ALPG has. It’s competitive and exciting and builds a sense of anticipation.
rn
From 16 September 2008 you will see the new ALPG identity and logo rolled out across all ALPG marketing and communications collateral.

There are three main variations of the logo in use that you will see. They are:

An important aspect of this rebranding is the launch of the first phase of our new look website. This new ALPG website provides a first stage of features. We expect it to be fully functional prior to the commencement of the 2008 Club Car Series on 21 November 2008.

Highlighted on the website is a new initiative, Corporate Golf Services, which we plan to pursue with great enthusiasm. We believe a wonderful opportunity exists within the corporate market for ALPG to customise events to meet specific demands. Our services will be packaged as more than just a round of golf. They will be tailor made to meet the requirements of corporate clients. ALPG will provide experienced professional players to conduct clinics or team building exercises oriented around golf and its associated skills and qualities. All, of course, designed to be engaging in fun. Stay tuned for details as to how you can have our professionals at your next corporate golfing event.

We are also very pleased to announce our schedule of events for the ALPG Tour 2008-2009 season. The schedule can be viewed here. As always, our aim is to take full advantage of the opportunities available to us and this season&aposs schedule reflects an overall increase in prizemoney for the Tour, as well as the introduction of new events, highlighted by the inaugural Women&aposs New Zealand Open.

We’d like to thank you for your continued support as we pursue and implement new initiatives to grow and promote the wonderful product that is women&aposs professional golf.
