Amputees head to Sweden for Handigolf Championship

Sydney&aposs Geoff Nicholas, will lead the Australian team at next week&aposs inaugural World Handigolf Championship in Sweden. FIFH Malm , Bokskogens Golf Club and The Swedish Golf Federation are the hosts for the first Men&aposs Team World Handigolf Championship that has ever been arranged. The Championship will be played over three days, with teams consisting of four players. The world s best disabled golfers will be in place for the Championship which will have between 30-50 nations represented at Bokskogens renowned Championship course. Nicholas is joined in the Australian team by three other leg amputees – fellow Sydney golfer Shane Luke, a four handicapper who doesn&apost use a prosthetic limb and blasts 250m drives on one leg, 12-handicapper Graham Kenyon from the Gold Coast and Henri Leibenberg, president of the WA Amputee Disabled Golf Association who plays off eight.
