Andy Fiebig – Mother’s Day winner!

Andy Fiebig, 12, won our 2013 Mother&aposs Day Competition, telling us why his Mum is Australia&aposs best golfing mum: “Thanks Mum – what other caddy would come so prepared: lip balm, fruit bars, Milo bars, ice water, aerogard, tissues, camera, glasses cleaner, no room for my clubs – you&aposre the best x” Andy&aposs mother Jo writes: Andy started playing golf in November last year and is a member at Southlakes Golf Club at Goolwa in South Australia where he is playing competitions each week with his grandparents who live with gate access to golf course. When he is staying there Andy spends all the time he can at the course, he has never looked back and practices in some way every day. I must say I love being his caddy, (as you heard overloading the bag) but enjoying watching him improve each week. The junior golf members that we have seen on different courses (during pennants and other events) have always had such etiquette and encouragement for Andy and each other and need to be commended – it really is great to see in sport.
