Angeles wins Queensland Indigenous Championship

courtesy: Golf Queensland Brett Angeles win the 2010 Queensland Indigenous Championship at the Murgon Golf Club, in damp conditions on the final day of play. Brett Angeles (Nudgee) fired a final round 78(+8) to join his first two round scores of 77 & 69 to finish 224 for the championship. Angeles bogeyed the last four holes to narrowly edged out Craig Dodd (Eidsvold) by a single stroke.Dodd returned a final round score of 75(+5) to finish runner-up over the 54 holes. First round leader Peter Bligh (Murgon) slipped away towards the end after returning rounds of 72, 80, and a final round 79 to finish 231 for the championship. In the Nett category Wondai member Noel Bird beat local member Gordon Wragge (Murgon) on a count back.Bird finished with nett scores of 64,71,66 for 201 to edge out Wragge in the final round.Wragge finished with 68,64,69 for 201. In the senior category James Brown (Murgon) was successful after consistence scoring over the past three days. Brown returned rounds of 81,81 & 84 to be this year s Senior Champion.
