APGC Seniors Championship heads to Perth

The Asia Pacific Golf Confederation, in conjunction with Golf Australia and Golf WA, is pleased to announce that the 2011 Asia Pacific Seniors Championship will be played in Perth, Western Australia at the Royal Perth Golf Club from Wednesday November 30 to Friday December 2. It will be a 54 Holes Stroke Play championship. An International Teams Event will be held in conjunction with the Championship. Teams will consist of three players from each nation with the best two scores from each round to count. Chairman of Golf Australia Mr John Hopkins said today Golf Australia is delighted to once again join with the APGC in hosting this prestigious Seniors Championship and we look forward to welcoming to Perth players from around the Asia Pacific Region. Royal Perth is an outstanding venue for this major championship . His comments were supported by the Chairman of Golf WA Mr Max Hannah. The President of Royal Perth Golf Club Mr Craig Walker added Royal Perth extends a warm welcome to all players and I am sure you will enjoy the course and facilities and will take back with you fond memories of your stay in Perth . The defending Champion is Taimur Hassan Amin from Pakistan who can expect strong challenges from former champion Stefan Albinski from Australia and National Champions from throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
