APPERLY: ACT Monaro Victorious

It's a three-peat for the ACT Monaro.

For the third straight year, the Capital based team will advance to the Preliminary Final after defeating Golf Illawarra 5-1.

The contest wasn't all one way, however.

It was anyone's to win until the players made the turn, then the ACT Monaro showed why they will be a force in this year's finals taking control and closing out the tie.

Bouncing back from yesterday's loss, Brett Levier was too strong with an impressive 6&5 win. Harry Bolton & Adam Thorp were too classy for their opponents with strong 5&4 results. Bailey Scifleet secured the win for ACT Monaro in a close encounter winning on the 18th hole.

ACT Monaro Captain Kris Cole made it five wins for the ACT Monaro outfit. He fought back strongly after being two down early to prevail 3&1. Golf Illawarra's Luke Taylor defeated Trent Britton 2&1 in the final match of the day.
