Arthur hits front at New Brighton

Fresh from winning gold at the Arafura Games in Darwin, Queenslander Bree Arthur shot an opening round 5-under par 68 to lead the NSW Women&aposs Stroke Play by one shot. AIS/Golf Australia Squad member Rebecca Flood shot a 4-under par 69 be in outright second and two strokes clear of Jessica Speechley (WA) and Olivia Wilson (NSW) who both shot 2-under par rounds of 71. Flood&aposs fellow AIS/GA squad member Whitney Hillier found herself level with Tasmanian and Women&aposs Riversdale Cup champion Ashlee Dewhurst with opening round 1-under 72s. Victorian Stacey Keating (AIS/GA squad) shot an even par 73 to open her campaign. Justine Lee and Julia Boland finished with 75 and 76 respectively.
