rnLindsey Wright and The European&aposs Executive Chef, Ian Curley.

Away from the golf course, Australia&aposs Lindsey Wright is a self-confessed foodie. The 31 year-old arrived in Melbourne on Monday evening and headed straight for The European for a cooking class with Executive Chef Ian Curley.
rn
Curley, who hosts the upcoming TV series "Conviction Kitchen," and will play in Wednesday&aposs ISPS Handa Women&aposs Australian Open Pro-Am at Commonwealth Golf Club, took time out from his evening preparation to teach Wright some tips of the trade.
rn
After a rehersal from Curley, Wright cooked black and white linguine with fresh crab, tomato, basil and bottarga (a type of cured fish roe). "Lindsey did really well," Curley said. "Now that I&aposve taught her in here, she&aposll have to teach me out on the golf course."
rn
Wright said she enjoyed the experience. "It&aposs great to be able to cook with a legend like Ian," Wright said. "I have new appreciation for what they mean by the &aposheat in the kitchen&apos – I&aposm not sure I could do 100 covers in front of the stove like that."
rn
Wright was born in England but moved to Australia and grew up in Albury. Now based in Orlando, Florida, Wright turned professional in 2003 and is currently the fourth-highest ranked Australian golfer on the women&aposs rankings. Wright finished 6th at last year&aposs Open at 3-under par.
