Asia Pacific amateurs outgunned at Bonallack Trophy

Click Here for Full Scores Europe cruised to a comfortable 17 to 14 win to claim their sixth victory in eight editions of the Asia Pacific versus Europe Amateur Team Golf for the Bonallack Trophy at the KGA course on Friday. Australians Geoff Drakeford and Taylor MacDonald represented Australia as part of the Asia-Pacific team. Leading 12 – 7 going into final day singles, the 12-man European team led by experienced non-playing captain Andy Morgan of Wales clinched the tie when Irishman Gavin Moynihan beat India`s lone representative Karan Taunk with two holes remaining in match eight of the day. The result was not without some anxious moments for the talented European side. Needing to earn at least four points out of 12 points available on the final day, Asia sparked a comeback winning four of the first six matches on Friday.
