Australian golf fans are set for a treat with the Asian Amateur Championship broadcast on ONE HD for the second time. Melbourne resident Jin Jeong (KOR) who was the Leading Amateur at the British Open at St Andrews and won the British Amateur championship is joined by Luke Bleumink (VIC), Jake Higginbottom (NSW), Srixon Australian Amateur champion Matt Jager (WA), Tarquin Macmanus (QLD) Kieran Pratt (VIC) and Jordan Sheratt (SA) in Japan. Bill Macatee, who is part of the Masters Tournament commentary team, and former European Tour professional Jay Townsend will provide commentary. The continued growth of the Asian Amateur Championship has ensured that more than 150 countries will now receive television coverage of the second edition of the landmark amateur tournament organised by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) and supported by the Masters Tournament and The R&A. Taking place from 7-10 October, a 120-player field will compete in the 72-hole stroke play event on the West Course at Kasumigaseki Country Club, located about one hour northwest of Tokyo.
