AUDIO: Deane ready for a major challenge

Stuart Deane’s is a name you may or may not see on the list of Australians competing at this week’s US PGA Championship. But don’t let the occasional American flag on a scoreboard fool you – he might live in Texas these days, but Deane is proudly Australian – and very much a Queenslander.

The University of Texas Arlington golf director is still playing professionally, too – and well enough to play in this year’s Byron Nelson Championship, too.

And through his good form at the PGA of American’s Professional Championship, he’s got a berth at Quail Hollow this week to become the seventh Aussie trying to get his hands on the Wanamaker Trophy in North Carolina. This morning he spoke to Radio RSN’s Breakfast Club before he tees up …
