August MYGolfer of the Month: Natalie Mason

Nominee Name: Natalie Mason MYGolf Centre: Patterson River Country Club State: VIC Age: 11 Natalie Mason first became interested in golf when her mother started taking lessons. Using her mum s clubs at home, down at the driving range and on the occasions they would both go to the course together, Natalie soon became hooked! A January school holiday clinic at Patterson River with Teaching Professional Paul Boxall was enough to convince Natalie to join the weekly MYGolf program. Outside of these sessions, Natalie can often be found putting her skills into practice out on course with her parents. As well as enjoying the challenge that golf presents, Natalie also understands that to better her game she needs to continue practicing and her commitment to this has seen a significant improvement in her strokes. This year Natalie entered the qualifying round for the Victorian Primary Schools Golf Competition at Keysborough and was pleasantly surprised when she won! Being her first golf tournament was thrill enough but to end up winning was a fantastic achievement. She will now play in the regional tournament in November where her goal is to better the score she had during the qualifying round.
