onal Squad member Geoff Drakeford finished in a tie for runner-up at the Carrick Neil Scottish Stroke Play Championship at Panmure Golf Club on the East coast of Scotland.
Drakeford, from Commonwealth Golf Club in Victoria, led the tournament into the final round after three excellent rounds of 65-69-68 but A final round 75 undid the earlier good work.
It was enough for Ireland's Gavin Moynihan to take the title who shot a final round 3-under par 67 to finish at 5-under par for the championship and win by two strokes.
Fellow Australian Anthony Murdaca finished in a tie for 5th place at 1-under par after closing rounds of 66-73.
A number of Australians including Todd Sinnott, Dale Brandt-Richards, Cameron Davis and DJ Loypur missed the 36 hole cut.
