Aussie duo fall short

Australian duo Won Joon Lee and Marc Leishman finished in a tie for second place at the Utah Championship on the Nationwide Tour. Lee shot six birdies on the back nine on his way to a seven-under par 64 to post the best round of the day, while Leishman battled his way to a one-over 72. No one could stop American Brendon Todd, who closed with a four-under par 67 to finish six strokes clear of Lee, Leishman, Jeff Klauk, Brian Smock, Ryan Hietala and Kyle Thompson. Another six players finished a further stroke behind in a tie for eighth, with Aussie Scott Gardiner one of them. Steve Allen shot eleven-under overall to finish in a tie for 28th, while Jarrod Lyle (33rd) shot a final round of 65 to remain second on the money list, just $735 behind Brendon de Jonge, who missed the cut. Kim Felton (47th) and Paul Gow (58th) finished strongly, while David McKenzie, Wade Ormsby, Andrew Bonhomme, Andre Stolz, Aron Price, Ewan Porter and David Lutterus all failed to make the cut.
