Aussie season kicks off at Perth International

World Number 10 Jason Dufner heads the field for this week&aposs ISPS HANDA Perth International at Lake Karrinyup Country Club. Dufner has not missed a cut worldwide since February in a career year which included victories at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Perth will be his first regular season European Tour event since he played the Australian Masters in 2009. Former European Tour winners Italian Eduardo Molinari and England&aposs Paul Casey are among the other notable internationals in the field. The Australian contingent includes Emirates Australian Open defending champion Greg Chalmers, Craig Parry, Brett Rumford, Scott Laycock, Peter O&aposMalley, Matt Griffin, Nick Cullen, Andrew Dodt, Stephen Leaney and Ashley Hall. Play commences at 6.30am Perth time on Thursday and Friday and times will be determined for Saturday and Sunday at the end of play on Friday. The ISPS HANDA Perth International is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and the European Tour and with prize money of US$2,000,000 it is the richest tournament in Australia. It is also the only event in Australia co-sanctioned with the European Tour and will be broadcasted globally via European Tour Television for over 800 hours showcasing Perth and Western Australia to 400 million homes in 67 countries.
