Team Europe are the warm favourites but Team USA are expected to push them all the way. VIKING CLASSIC, Annandale Golf Club, Massachusetts, USA While the leading Americans and Europeans fight it out in Kentucky, a host of Aussies will head to Annandale Golf Club in Massachusetts for the Viking Classic. John Senden, Jason Day, Steve Allan, Nick Flanagan and Brett Rumford will be looking for a positive result in the $US 3.6 million event. LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR GOTEBORG MASTERS, Lycke Golf Club, SWEDEN As the LPGA Tour takes a week off, the European Tour continues with a visit to Sweden for the Goteborg Masters. World number 9 Helen Alfredsson will be the star in the field at the Lycke Golf Club. A strong Australian contingent will also be in the field including Frances Bondad, Dana Lacey, Karen Lunn, Joanne Mills, Nikki Garrett and Leah Hart. ASIAN TOUR MERCURIES TAIWAN MASTERS, Taiwan Golf Club, Taipei Fresh from his maiden tour win in the Indonesia President Invitational, Scott Hend will join the field for the Taiwan Masters in Taipei. Other Australians include Darren Beck, Andrew Dodt and Adam Groom. NATIONWIDE TOUR OREGON CLASSIC- Shadow Hills Country Club, Oregon USA Wade Ormsby will hope to improve on his sixth place finish in last week s Boise Open in Idaho as the Nationwide Tour heads to Oregon this week. Won Joon Lee, Jarrod Lyle and Greg Chalmers headline the Australian competitors in what are expected to be cloudy conditions. JAPAN TOUR 2008 ANA Open, Sapporo Golf Club Scott Laycock is the pick of the Australians after an opening round of 4-under at the ANA Open in Japan. Laycock s 68 left him tied for sixth moving towards the weekend. Current Australian Open champion Craig Parry carded an opening round 3-under 69.
