LPGA TOUR GRAND CHINA AIR-LPGA- Haikou West Golf Club, Hainan Island, China 2008 marks the inaugural Grand China Air LPGA- the first official LPGA event to be held in China. Annika Sorenstam will make her first and only appearance in the event before retirement while Yani Tseng, Suzann Pettersen and Cristie Kerr will also be in the field. Australia will be represented in the 63 player line-up by Katherine Hull and Lindsey Wright. EUROPEAN TOUR CASTELLO MASTERS, Club de Campo Mediterraneo, Castellon, Spain Peter O Malley is the only Australian making the trip to the Eastern coast of Spain for the Castello Masters. A first-class field will join him in Spain including Sergio Garcia, Camillo Villegas, Justin Rose and Angel Cabrera. NATIONWIDE TOUR MICCOSUKEE CHAMPIONSHIP- Miccosukee G &CC, Miami, Florida. The last full-field event of the year is the final chance for players to try and get into the Top 60 on the Nationwide Tour Money List and gain a spot in the US$1 million Nationwide Tour Championship in November. Regardless of his position on the list, the first prize cheque of $112,500 could be enough to guarantee anyone a spot in the top 60. Last week s Shriners Hospital championship winner Marc Turnesa will hope to defend his title after winning by a single stroke last year. The Australians in the field include: Andrew Buckle, Greg Chalmers, Stephen Dartnall, Marc Leishman, Jarrod Lyle and Wade Ormsby. ASIAN TOUR MACAU OPEN, Macau Golf and CC Australia s Terry Pilkdaris- runner up in last week s Midea-China classic will hope to go one better in the Macau Open this weekend. Joining Pilkadaris in the field are a host of Australians including Adam Blyth, Darren Beck, Kane Webber and Adam Groom. JAPAN TOUR 2008 BRIDGESTONE OPEN, Sodegaura Country Club. Scott Laycock, Craig Parry and Steven Conran will start in the field for the Bridgestone Open on the Japan Tour. LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR No event scheduled.
