PGA TOUR Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bay Hill Club and Lodge, Orlando, Florida. The Tour heads for one of the most popular spots on the schedule with a meeting at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Australian number one Geoff Ogilvy sits this one out but a host of other Australians will be in action. Mathew Goggin has perhaps the most to gain from this tournament. His 4th place finish in last week s Transitions Championship shot him to world number 49 and in line for a trip to Augusta. Another solid performance here could see him cement his spot in the top 50 but a poor performance could be risky. Stuart Appleby, Robert Allenby, Aaron Baddeley, Jason Day James Nitties, Rod Pampling , Peter Lonard, John Senden and Nick O Hern also step out. Rod Pampling was the last Australian to win the event in 2006. Tiger has won Arnie s event five times and is going for the set of 6 on the weekend. LPGA TOUR J Golf Phoenix LPGA International, Papago Golf Course, Phoenix, Arizona. The LPGA Tour heads from Mexico to Phoenix this week. Lindsey Wright was the best performing Aussie in Mexico with a top 20 finish while Katherine Hull managed to move to world number 11 despite missing the cut. A strong result from Hull would see her move ever closer to succeeding Webb (#9) as the highest-ranked Australian in the Rolex Women’s World Rankings. Wendy Doolan, Rachel Hetherington and Michelle Ellis will also play. Sarah Kemp is one of the alternates but did qualify for a start in Mexico last week. EUROPEAN TOUR Open de Andalucia de Golf 09, Real Club de Golf Sevilla, Seville, Spain. Miguel Angel Jimenez hosts the field as Colin Montgomerie makes his 500th tour appearance. Wade Ormsby, Matthew Millar and Michael Curtain turn out in a field that includes Jimenez, Soren Kjeldsen, Anders Hansen and Soren Hasen. The Open de Andalucia became a sanctioned Tour event in 2007. The previous two winners were Lee Westwood and Thomas Levet. Asian Tour 2009 Black Mountain Masters, Hua Hin, Thailand. A host of Australians head to Hua Hin for the inaugural Black Mountain Masters event. Scott Barr, Darren Beck, Rick Kulacz and Adam Blyth are joined by former National Squad players Tim Stewart and Rohan Blizard and a large number of other Australians in the field. The Ladies European Tour and Futures Tour do not have scheduled events this week.
