Aussies around the world: Weekend Review

PGA TOUR BMW Championship, FedEx Cup play-offs, Missouri Aaron Baddeley was the highest placed Australian at the BMW Championship at Bellerive in Missouri. Tied for sixth going into the final round, Baddeley carded a 1-under round of 69 to finish at T10 with American Steve Stricker and Swede Fredrik Jacobson. Colombia s “Spiderman” Camilo Villegas claimed his maiden tour victory with a final round 68 to leave him at 15-under for the championship, two strokes clear of American Dudley Hart in second and three strokes ahead of Jim Furyk and Anthony Kim who tied for third. Geoff Ogilvy finished at T28 at 3-under while Matthew Goggin, Stuart Appleby and Robert Allenby all finished at T38. Nikki Garrett was the highest-placed Aussie at T25 (-1). Garrett s opening round 5-under (68) had her firmly in contention but a frustrating 81 in her second round reduced the advantage. Rumford finished at 5-under (T23), 8 strokes behind winning Frenchman Jean- Francois Lucquin who beat Northern Ireland sensation Rory McIlroy after the second playoff hole. Leaderboard: 1. Scott Barr -2 (282) Click here for a full leaderboard FUTURES TOUR ILOVENY Championship, Albany, New York Queensland s Sarah-Jane Kenyon won the ILOVENY Championship at Capital Hills Golf Club in Albany NY over the weekend. Kenyon carded rounds of 64-71-69 (-9) to beat American Mindy Kim by three strokes. The season-ending victory was a double celebration for the Queenslander who secured her LPGA Tour card for next season with the win. The win takes Kenyon to number three on the current money leaders table behind Vicky Hurst and Mindy Kim. Australia s Won Joon Lee roared up the leaderboard in the final round in Utah to finish tied for second with six others including compatriot Marc Leishman. Lee fired a final round 64 to finish at -16 (268), six strokes behind winner Brendon Todd on -22 (262). Steve Allan finished at -11 (273) while Jarrod Lyle finished at -10 (274) sharing T33.
