Australians Brett Rumford, Andrew Dodt, Scott Hend, Marcus Fraser and Matthew Zions contested Sectional Qualifying for the US Open at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey but none qualified. Zions finished the best of the Aussies with rounds of 71 and 74 (145), seven strokes behind France&aposs Raphael Jacquelin who took the final automatic spot on offer. Fraser shot 72-76 while Hend shot 76-72 to finish three back from Zions. Among those to qualify were Italian sensation Matteo Mannasero (69-69), France&aposs Gregory Bourdy and Ireland&aposs Peter Lawrie. Qualifying Results – Walton Heath
