Aussies look for a flyer at Airbus Classic!

Sarah Jane Smith looks to build on her 2nd place finish last week at Kingsmill as she heads into this week's Airbus LPGA Classic in Mobile, Alabama. Fellow Queenslanders Karrie Webb and Katherine Kirk have some good form in 2014 heading into the tournament and they should both enjoy the bermuda greens at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia course this week. There are 7 Australians in the field this week.

Defending Champ, Jennifer Johnson, is focused on returning to the Winner’s Circle this week  Last year she clinched the win by shooting a 65 on both Saturday and Sunday, and Johnson expects similar results this year.

“Just trying to shoot the same thing as I did last year,” Johnson said. “I’m always trying to do better than I did the year before.”

Johnson has had a struggle returning to the top of the leader board this season, but momentum is on her side. During last week’s tournament in Kingsmill she tallied a season best 12th place finish.

“All of the memories coming back,” Johnson said. “I love this place, the course. It is just a lot of fun.”

As Johnson begins her first-round Thursday, she looks for those memories to help guide her back to the leader board this weekend here in Mobile.

World  number 1 Inbee Park returns to action this week, while number 2 and LPGA 2014 money list leader Stacey Lewis can close the gap with a strong finish this week.

The event will be broadcast on Fox Sports this week with day 1 coverage starting at 11:30 Friday on Fox Sports 3
