Aussies make US Open cut

Australian golfers Aaron Baddeley and Robert Allenby will play in the upcoming US Open after being granted places in the event on Tuesday (US time). Baddeley and Allenby were among a group of 14 golfers ranked in the world&aposs top 50 that have been given passes to take to the greens at Pennsylvania&aposs Oakmont Country Club for the 2007 event. The 14 golfers have been given passes as the remaining members of the top 50 have already qualified for the event with previous wins on the PGA tour. Along with the two Australians, Denmark&aposs Anders Hansen, South Africans Tim Clark and Charl Schwartzel, Englishmen Justin Rose and Lee Westwood, Spaniard Jose Maria Olazabal and Americans Chris DiMarco, Charles Howell, John Rollins, Vaughn Taylor and Scott Verplank were also given passes for the 2007 Open.
