Aussies On Tour: Oct 21

It was an exciting weekend for Australian golf fans, with all eyes on Asia as the world's best took their talents around the globe.

Adam Scott returned to the Japan Open for the second straight year and put in a brilliant showing, cracking the top five alongside Japan Tour regulars Brad Kennedy and Brendan Jones.

Right in behind that quartet was South Australia's Jack Thompson who finished equal-low amateur in a share of 29th as his stocks continue to rise.

In France, Victoria's Lucas Herbert all but locked himself in for a return to the European Tour in 2020 with a strong T14 result at the French Open.

But our #AussieOfTheWeek came from Korea, where Queensland's Cam Smith found himself locked in a tense battle in Sunday's final group with Justin Thomas and Danny Lee.

Smith started the day three shots back and couldn't reel in the leaders, but a gutsy birdie-birdie-eagle finish helped him to a share of third on the standings, a healthy pay cheque and our #AussieOfTheWeek honours!
