Commonwealth member Geoff Drakeford (VIC) is through to the quarter finals joined by Cameron Smith (QLD), Dylan Perry (NSW), Damien Jordan (QLD), Dale Brandt-Richards (NSW) and internationals Blair Riordan (NZ), Sam An (NZ) and Neil Raymond (ENG). National Squad member Drakeford defeated reigning Australian junior champion Tyler Hodge (NZ) 4&2 while Smith beat Anthony Murdaca 3&1. To win takes Charlton through to the quarter finals where she ll be joined by Jenny Lee (SA), Hannah Green (WA), Minjee Lee (WA) and internationals Julianne Alvarez (NZ), Kotone Hori (JPN) and Ji-Hyun Oh (KOR). Hori defeated four-time US Mid-Amateur champion Meghan Stasi 3&2 while Minjee Lee came through in a tough battle with Cathleen Santoso which ended on the 19th hole.
