Australian duo Steven Bowditch and Matt Jones have secured PGA Tour cards for next year after finishing in the top 25 at the Q-School tournament in California. Bowditch finished the six-round event in a share of 10th place, while Jones was equal 14th. South Korean Lee Dong-hwan (25 under) won the tournament by a stroke from Englishman Ross Fisher (24 under) and American Steve LeBrun (24 under), while Sweden&aposs Robert Karlsson (20 under) was one of the high profile players to earn cards. But the biggest story may involve 17-year-old Si Woo Kim, who became the youngest ever player to earn a PGA Tour card. Kim, at 18 under and tied for 20th thanks to a final round 68, is less than a month younger than Ty Tryon when he qualified back in 2001. However, rules state that the Korean teenager is not an official PGA Tour member until turning 18 on June 28. He is allowed to participate in up to 12 events through exemptions and after top-10 finishes. Colombia&aposs Camilo Villegas, New Zealand youngster Danny Lee and Englishman Oliver Fisher all had to settle for Web.com tour berths while American Edward Loar was dealt the same fate after capitulating on the final day. Loar dropped from equal third to equal 32nd courtesy of a nightmare six-over 78 which consisted of four bogeys, two double-bogeys and only two birdies. Mathew Goggin also narrowly missed out on earning his PGA card, with the Australian finishing one shot behind those that will feature on the PGA Tour in 2013. Adam Crawford, James Nitties, Luke Hickmott, Gavin Coles, Ash Hall, Rod Pampling, Steve Allan, Bryden Macpherson and Nick O&aposHern were among the Australians to miss out completely, while Kiwi Tim Wilkinson did enough to earn a Web.com tour spot.
