Australian team mates Bryden Macpherson and Daniel Nisbet are joint-leaders at the conclusion of the opening round of the Australian Boys&apos Amateur Championship at Spring Valley Golf Club in Victoria. The pair fired rounds of 68 in wet and windy conditions to be three-under the card after day one, two shots clear of local Julian Darrer and Ryan Peak of Western Australia. Victorian Geoff Drakeford sits outright fifth with an even-par round of 71 which was a superb effort given the afternoon conditions. Round two gets underway at 7:45am (AEDT) Thursday morning.
