The Australian Golf Writers Association through its President Peter Stone announced today that it will put up for auction one of the best pieces of golfing memoriabillia ever seen in this country with the proceeds to be divided between two Victorian bushfire ravaged golf clubs .
rn
rnThe AGWA was sent two blank pin flags by Mark Cubbedge the Manager of Collections and Research at the Florida based World Golf Hall of Fame as a part  of  its support for the Victorian Bushfire Relief Fund and the Association has been able to have both signed by Australia’s only living members of the WGHOF namely Peter Thomson, Kel Nagle, Greg Norman and Karrie Webb.
rn
rnOne of the two flags was returned to Florida and is on display at the World Golf Hall Of Fame and the other is the one that will go to the highest bidder with proceeds to be equally divided by the Marysville Golf Club and the Horsham Golf Club which were devastated in Victoria’s disasterous February bushfires.
rn
rnAnyone interested in placing a bid for this genuine piece of Australian golfing memoriabilia should contact AGWA President Peter Stone on 0437 477 605 or golf writers secretary George Begg on 0409 381 192.
