James McMillan and Ryan Woodward were undefeated for the Victorians in their wins over South Australia and Queensland. New South Wales is in second place following wins over South Australia and Tasmania on the first day. Brett Drewitt and Ricky Kato were undefeated for NSW. Queensland is in third place, two matches clear of Tasmania in fourth. For South Australians in fifth, former Test cricketer Greg Blewett squared his morning match but lost 3&2 to Victorian Anthony Houston in the afternoon. Western Australia are in sixth place. Australian Women’s Interstate Teams Matches (for the Gladys Hay Memorial Cup), West Lakes Golf Club Round 1 & 2 Western Australia began a promising start to their title defence of the Gladys Hay Memorial Cup with comfortable wins over Queensland and Tasmania on the opening day at West Lakes Golf Club. Minjee Lee, Whitney Hillier and Hayley Bettencourt were among those players undefeated in the first round for the leaders. New South Wales is in second place following wins over South Australia and Tasmania. Lauren Hibbert, Carly Beck and Nerida Gregory were all undefeated for NSW. Queensland is in third place after defeating Victoria in the afternoon. Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania round out the positions on the leaderboard. Rounds 3 and 4 will be played on Wednesday commencing at 8.00am and 1.00pm respectively.
