Australian Junior Amateur Final Day

Anthony Murdaca during final round of the Australian Boys Amateur Girls Amateur Victorian and National Junior Squad member Su Hyun Oh reeled off a string of birdies on the back nine to win the Australian Girls Amateur Championship at Carbrook GC by seven shots. Oh, who held a three shot overnight lead, finished with rounds of 71-69 today to win at 8 under par and hold off Queensland based Korean Annie Choi who finished at 1 under par following 71-73 on the final day. Jenny Lee was the best placed of South Australia&aposs girls in a tie for 20th. Boys Amateur Kiwi Tyler Hodge sunk a seven foot par putt on the final hole to win the Australian Boys Amateur at Bribie Island GC. Hodge finished with rounds of 71-75 today to win at 5 under par, one clear of Queensland s Viraat Badhwar who shot a final round course record 7-under par 65 to finish at 4 under par. South Australia&aposs Anthony Murdaca had another strong showing at the Boys Amateur finishing tied 12th. Murdaca&aposs shot 68 in the final round today which included 4 birdies and an eagle on the par 5 12th hole. Kieren Barratt was the next best of the South Aussies finishing tied 23rd and posting an impressive 2 under score of 70 in the final round.
