Royal Hobart Golf Club will play host to the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur Championship from 10-12 October 2017.
A maximum field of 144 players will tee it up for the event to be played over 54-holes stroke play. Players must have reached their 55th birthday with a maximum handicap limit of 9.4.
The event was last played at Royal Hobart Golf Club in 2005.
This year’s championship is sure to attract a strong field, with many international players tipped to come to Australian and contest the Asia-Pacific Senior Amateur Championship at Royal Adelaide Golf Club the week after.
Royal Hobart golf course is sure to test the players with the course set on a natural sand base and over 80 fairway and greenside bunkers. These are a special feature of the course that adds an important dimension to how players of all levels approach their game.
