Just days after the finale of the 2008 Srixon Australian Amateur Championships, the attention shifts to Perth as Australia&aposs top senior men do battle for the Australian Men&aposs Senior Amateur at Royal Perth Golf Club. It is the first time that Western Australia has hosted this event since it was started in 1981 as a 100-strong field get set to battle for the title. The 54-hole stroke play event was won by Rick Oliver and Denis Oliver at Commonwealth Golf Club last year as darkness prevented a playoff in what was an exciting end to the championship. Golf Australia wishes to thank Royal Perth Golf Club for the hospitality and helping us to bring this National Championship to the west for the first ever time.
