Australian players selected for NZ, USA and Argentina

Golf Australia has announced the Australian teams to compete in three upcoming events on the international amateur schedule. FOUR NATIONS CUP National Squad member Brett Drewitt (NSW), Maverick Antcliff (QLD), Ryan Peake (WA) and Todd Sinnott (VIC) will represent Australia at the Four Nations Cup at The Hills Golf Club in Queenstown from 13-16 October. Australia will compete against New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina across four rounds of Stroke Play. Martin Joyce and Craig Bishop will be the Team Coaches. THE SPIRIT INTERNATIONAL Reigning Srixon Australian Amateur champion Ashlee Dewhurst (TAS) will join Jamiee Dougan (QLD), Brad Moules (SA) and Anthony Murdaca (SA) representing Australia at the Spirit International at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Texas. Played from 2-5 November, the Australians will compete against 20 other nations including the United States, England, Japan and Ireland. Players compete in two player best ball Stroke Play and the Team Coach is Gareth Jones. JUAN CARLOS TAILHADE and ARGENTINIAN AMATEUR Nathan Holman (VIC) and Todd Sinnott (VIC) will represent Australia at the Juan Carlos Tailhade and Argentinian Amateur held from 10-20 November at Los Lagartos and San Isidro Golf Clubs. The Juan Carlos Tailhade is contested over four rounds of Stroke Play while the Argentinian Amateur is contested over two qualifying rounds followed by Match Play. Past players of the Juan Carlos Tailhade include Adam Scott, Aaron Baddeley and Eduardo Molinari. The coach is Richard Cooney. Golf Australia High Performance Director Brad James wished all players well. “It&aposs certainly a busy end to the year and these three events will be excellent experience for all selected players,” James said. “Representing Australia is an honour and I hope all players make the most of the chance to test themselves against the best players overseas.”
