Entries close soon for the Australian Men’sSenior Amateur Match Play Championship, and there remain plenty of places still available in the field. The event will be played at Twin Creeks Golf Club in Sydney s west from 29-31 October. It is the first time the event has been played in Sydney in its six year history, so there are sure to be some newcomers to the event. The leading 32 entries from the 2012 Australian Men’sSenior Rankings, plus the top eight players in the 65 years and over section, will contest five rounds of grueling match play over two and a half days. Peter King (Qld) and Denis Dale (NSW), the number one and two ranked senior players have already entered, and with the event on Dale s home course he will take some beating. Richard Greville (NSW), Vince Clark (NSW) and Graham Bowen (WA), all in the top 10 of the rankings, will also be competitive over the match play format. With entries closing on Friday 7 September, players have only days left to submit their entry.
