Australian Women�s Senior Amateur – Round 1 Report

uot;left" />Early thunderstorms and torrential rain delayed the start of round one of the Australian Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Riverside Golf Club in Launceston today.

Play was suspended for nearly 5 hours before resuming under blue skies this afternoon.

Nicky Moon from the ACT and Robyn Boniface from New Zealand lead the qualifying rounds after shooting a 6-over par 79 in blustery conditions.

2010 Champion Robyn Puckett (Qld) and Jacqui Morgan (NSW) are the next best placed competitors after rounds of 81.

Play continues tomorrow morning with the second qualifying round before elimination match play on Wednesday. The leading 16 players will qualify for the major championship, with another eight players in four age divisions qualifying for match play flights.
