Baddeley falls short

Australia&aposs Aaron Baddeley has finished second at the SK Telecom Open in Korea, six shots adrift of runaway winner Sang-moon Bae of Korea. Bae had dominated the event from the beginning, opening with a 64 before rounds of 69 and 71 had him four shots clear coming into the final round. He finished off with a 67, to be 17-under, defeating Baddeley and Hyung-tae Kim, in a comprehensive victory, his first on the Asian Tour. Baddeley was rewarded for his consistent golf all week, signing off with a 68, which included four birdies. “I&aposm quite pleased with how I played today. I&aposve enjoyed the week here. Bae was playing solid all four rounds and I didn&apost capitalise on my shots but I tried my best and I&aposm happy to come in joint second place,” Baddeley said. It was a good tournament all round for the Australians with Unho Park grabbing a share of fourth with Korean duo of Kang Kyung-nam and Choi Hyuk-jae and American David Oh. Park took his second top-five finish of the season, finishing his week with a 69 to end on nine-under, and is now up to fifteenth on the Order of Merit. “I was consistent and have no complaints about this week. It was fun and I am satisfied as I have been on good form this year,” Park said. Of the other Australasians, New Zealand&aposs Mark Brown gathered a share of tenth on six-under, while Aussie Kane Webber took a share of 14th on five-under. Marcus Both and Scott Barr finished 30th on minus-two, Jarrod Moseley (=44th) on plus-one, Tony Carolan (=48th) plus-two, Ashley Hall (=60th) six-over and Gavin Flint (=73rd) on plus-12.
