Bayview Golf Club – Business as usual

As they prepare to host their 4th consecutive Legends Seniors Pro-am on Monday 13th January Bayview Golf Club is also looking positively to the future. Club officials and members are becoming increasingly frustrated by unfounded rumours that they have called in administrators to solve the club s financial problems. This is simply not true. Bayview Club President, Dr Bob Orth, stated that whilst the club faced some financial challenges, not uncommon in today s golfing world, plans are well in place for an exciting course improvement and redesign project. Our club is fortunate to own all of our land and proposals are about to be put to members to sell a parcel of land excess to our needs for residential development that would leave the club debt free, with an upgraded course of the same length and par as now and with substantial reserve funds that would be kept in trust Orth said. Having recently moved into an ultra modern clubhouse Bayview Golf Club offers an attractive golfing and social package to residents of the northern beaches he added. High profile local BMW dealer, Col Crawford, is once again the major sponsor for the Pro-am which in the past has attracted a stellar field of Senior Pros and enthusiastic members keen to learn how it is done. Depending on the number of pros and BGC members booking for this event, there may be spots available for members from other clubs to be involved. For more information visit: Bayview Golf Club
