Bella Kil from Castle Hill in leads the Victorian Girls Championship at 3 over par one stroke in front of Mandurah’s Kathryn Norris. Another stroke back at 3 over par is Sarah Wilson from Pelican Waters while overnight leader Phannarai Meesom-Us is at 8 over par. Kil and Wilson both had the best rounds of the day with under par 71’s.
Southern’s Kay Bannan leads the U16 Girls Championship at 9 over par and an impressive one over par 73.
Thailand’s Phannarai Messom-Us leads the U14 Girls Championship with 8 over par.
Kazuma Kobori (New Zealand), Josh Greer and Connor McKinney both from Joondalup in Western Australia share the lead at the Victorian Boy’s Championship after 36 holes at even par after players enjoyed much calmer and warmer conditions at Yarra Yarra today.
The leaders are closely followed Harrison Crowe from St Michaels at one over par, Jye Pickin from Avondale at 2 over par and Seve Jones, Toby Walker and Antony Majstorovic on 3 over par.
Royal Melbourne’s Seve Jones had the round of the day with 3 under par 69.
Kobori and McKinney also lead the Under 16 Boys section, While Abel Eduard leads the U14 Boys.
With 36 holes remaining many players are still in with a chance in both the Boys and Girls Championships. So far the tournament has been a great test to all players and the final rounds are shaping up to be an exciting finish to the championship.
