Jonas Blixt and Brendon de Jonge share the lead at the halfway point of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The pair are tied at 14-under par after the end of Friday&aposs second round in Las Vegas, with overnight leader Ryan Moore a shot further back in third. American duo Tim Herron and Daniel Summerhays are three shots off the pace in a tie for fourth. Blixt showcased his consistency as he shot a seven-under 64 for the second day in a row. After a blemish-free opening day, the Swede hit one eagle, eight birdies, one bogey and one double-bogey in his second round. He will rue his double-bogey on the second last hole but still played well enough to be tied for the lead with De Jonge, who also made a late error. After a first-day 62, Zimbabwean De Jonge hit one eagle and four birdies before he entered the last hole, only to finish with a late bogey. Moore hit four birdies in his three-under 68, while Herron also scored the same. Summerhays was one of the day&aposs best performers, as his one eagle, seven birdies and one bogey helped him to a 63. A group of five players are tied for sixth at 10 under, four shots behind Blixt and De Jonge, with American quartet Nick Watney, John Daly, Chris Kirk, John Huh joined by Fijian Vijay Singh. Daly was the star of that group, shooting one eagle and eight birdies in an eight-under 63. Defending champion Kevin Na of the United States is reasonably placed in a tie for 15th, six shots off the lead. Nathan Green is the best-placed Australian, tied for 33rd at six under after consecutive rounds of 68. Jason Day and Mathew Goggin (five under) and Rod Pampling (four under) were the other Aussies to make the cut with Robert Allenby, Nick O&aposHern, Gavin Coles and Stuart Appleby all failing to qualify for the weekend.
