Final Round Boys&apos Interstate Team Matches
A glorious day weather wise after what we endured over the last two weeks, and the golf was just as good. However, not the result we were all hoping for unfortunately. Our boys tried and fought hard, however Victoria were just that much better on the day with the hometown advantage winning four matches to our one. Blake Windred was defeated by Ryan Ruffles 5&3 – this young man is in a huge purple patch at the moment and cannot do anything wrong. Blake played extremely well and did nothing wrong to be be three or four under par for fifteen holes, and the loss is no hiding. Harrison Endycott was defeated by Zac Murray two up. Harry played some brilliant shots to green but was just missing a few putts. He had an eighteen inch tap in for eagle on the twelfth 484m Par 5, to get back to square, and held it together until the last couple of holes. He nearly holed on the Par 3 seventh which hit the pin spinning back and birdied. Grant Booth was defeated by Brett Coletta 3&2 which was an up and down match all the way. Kevin Yuan won against Frazer Droop one up which was one of the better matches of the day. Kevin played solid golf throughout the interstate series going undefeated. Daniel Gale was defeated by Blake Collier 5&4 and tried his hardest for the team. The boys were great ambassadors of the state and did us all proud.

Third Day Boys&apos Interstate Teams Matches
NSW started the day strong with a 4/1 victory over Queensland in Round 5. Unfortunately the momentum didn&apost continue with ACT. This puts NSW narrowly in front of WA in second position, with Victoria taking a clear lead in first. The scores don&apost reflect how difficult the ACT matches were. We really needed a win, but half keeps us in the game for the silverware. In the ACT matches, Daniel Gale was struggling with his game, but kept his confidence and showed real courage to come back and win. Kevin Yuan was having trouble with his game initially, and was starting to feel disappointed with himself. However we kept encouraging him, and he fought back to square the match birdieing his last two holes. Blake Windred played some wonderful golf in a very tough match which ended in a loss. He can hold his head up high with pride with the way he played. Grant Booth also did well, which ended in a loss for him as well. All boys did us proud and hopefully we can rally and outplay the Victorians to bring home the silverware. As Golf Australia says, “An outright win in the contest would hand New South Wales the title, despite the Victorians having won an incredible 28 of 30 individual matches so far.” Results are as follows: Round 5: NSW v QLD – Won 4/1 Harrison Endycott lost 6&5 against Blake Proverbs Blake Windred won 1up against James Macklin Grant Booth won 6&5 against Hyunsik Kong Kevin Yuan won 2&1 against Liam Anderson Isaac Noh won 2&1 against Kodie Koski Round 6: NSW v ACT – 2.5/2.5 Blake Windred lost 2 down to James Correll Grant Booth lost 5&4 against Jakub Gancarz Kevin Yuan squared with Joshua Armstrong Daniel Gale won 3&2 against Harry Bolton Isaac Noh won 4&2 against Kristopher Cole
