Both the NSW Men's and Women's Teams were defeated in the finals to come in second place at the Australian Interstate Teams Matches in Canberra. The teams, although disappointed by their loss, are proud of their finalist position. The Men's team was narrowly defeated by Victoria 4.5-3.5 at Federal Golf Club. The Women's team was defeated by WA 5-1 at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club. It is WA's third Gladys Hay Memorial Cup win.

The NSW teams were greeted with beautiful weather today in Canberra. However, their WA opponents were the ones to walk away beaming after defeating both the Men's and Women's Teams. The Women's team went down 3.5 to 1.5. Lizzie had seven birdies in 3/1 win over national squad member Hannah Green. Celina birdied the last to square her match. Olivia and Doey went to 18th to lose one down. Shelly had par round to lose to Minjee Lee 4/3. It will be a big rematch against WA in tomorrow's final!
The Men's team went down 5 to 2 against WA. They just scraped into the finals after SA and QLD halved their contest. The NSW team will face the leaders Victoria who remain undefeated in the series in the finals tomorrow.

A typical Canberra autumn day today with bright sunshine and cold winds. The NSW Women's Team were outstanding winning 10 matches out of 10 taking the lead! We are now clearly into Friday's final and tomorrow's contest will determine our opponent. We play WA which will be a tough match with national squad members Minjee Lee and Hannah Green leading the way, and Hayley Bettencourt with multiple State Championships to her name will also be hard to beat. Team morale is high and Coach Dean Kinney and the girls are all looking forward to the next few days.
The NSW Men's Team climbed into second place after defeating Queensland (4-3) and Tasmania (5-2) in today's rounds. They will go up against WA in the fifth round tomorrow. #KeepItGoing NSW!!! Doing us proud!

The women are playing at Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club and the men are playing at Federal Golf Club, ACT.
