Bogeys mar Masson round

Caroline Masson survived a disappointing end to her round to hold a one-shot lead at the halfway stage of the North Texas LPGA Shootout. Masson bogeyed three of her last four holes for a round of even-par 71, but it was enough for an overall score of seven under and the lead at Las Colinas Country Club on Friday. “After the last few holes, I&aposm pretty happy it&aposs over now,” the German told reporters. “I don&apost know what went wrong really. It was just a few bad shots, but I think that it&aposs good that it&aposs over and then I can, yeah, just relax now and tomorrow I think I&aposll be fine again.” Spaniard Carlota Ciganda recorded successive birdies at the eighth and ninth during her round of 70 in Texas as she closed the day in second position. Thai sensation Moriya Jutanugarn (66) sunk five birdies as she went bogey-free in her second round and she was joined by Kathleen Ekey (67) and Inbee Park (7) at five under. Shanshan Feng (67), Jessica Korda (69), Brittany Lincicome (68), Yani Tseng (69) and Hee-Young Park (70) will begin Saturday&aposs third round on four under. Meanwhile, Ryu So-Yeon (68) is four shots off the pace alongside Seo Hee-Kyung (69), Choi Na-Yeon (69) and Angela Stanford (70).
