Golf Australia National Squad and Texas A&M college senior Julia Boland has been named Big 12 Female Golfer of the Month for November, the Conference office has announced. From Sydney, Australia, Boland won the Challenge at Onion Creek on November 3 in Austin with a four-under-par 67-70-69=206. She led A&M to its second win of the fall against a field of 21 teams. The victory was also Boland&aposs second individual title of the fall season. Boland accepted a one year scholarship from Texas A&M College in August. Boland is the current Srixon Australian Women&aposs Stroke Play, Victorian Women’s Stroke Play and Lake Macquarie Amateur champion. Speaking at the time of Boland&aposs acceptance of the scholarship, Texas A&M Women’s Golf Head Coach Trelle McCombs said he was pleased to welcome Boland. “Julia will bring a tremendous amount of experience to our team, McCombs said. We are very excited to have such an accomplished player joining our team.
