BOLAND LEADS WOMEN IN BRISBANE

Dual Lake Macquarie Amateur champion and National Squad member Julia Boland leads the Australian Women’s Stroke Play Championship by one shot from Victorian Stacey Keating after the second round at Brisbane Golf Club. Boland shot a 1-over par round of 73 to sit at 1-under for the championship while Keating shot a 2-over 74. It was a tough, tough day at the office, Boland said. The course is probably as tough as anything I ve played but I m enjoying it nonetheless. South Australia s Ebony Heard is in third position and one stroke ahead of Queensland s Bree Arthur in fourth at 2-over. New Zealander Zoe-Beth Brake, Pei-Ying Tsai and Justine Lee are at 4-over. National Squad member Rebecca Flood is joined by WA s Jessica Speechley and Annie Choi (KOR) at 5-over. Allyce Watkinson (NSW) bounced back from an opening round 79 to card a 1-under par 71 in what was the best score of the day. Click here to view the results from Round 2
