Boland overthrows Smith to lead at Riversdale

The 2008 Women&aposs Riversdale Cup is set for an exciting finish after Julia Boland shot a superb 69 to snatch the lead from West Australian Kristie Smith. Boland made the most of perfect golfing conditions on Tuesday, posting a four-under par round whilst the overnight leader could only manage one-under. The three shot swing sees Boland shoot into the outright lead with just 18 holes to play. Dana Kim from New Zealand is outright third after also shooting a one-under 72 while Elissa Orr from Commonwealth provided one of the higlights of the day with a hole-in-one on the first hole – the first of her young career! The National Teams event leaders are the New South Wales team of Julia Boland and Jessica Noh with 444 while the Kiwi combination of Dana Kim and Penny Smith are in close contention with 448 shots.
