Bonhomme falls to eighth

Andrew Bonhomme has slipped into a share of eighth spot after a tricky second round at the PGA Tour&aposs Q-School – Second Stage in Texas. The Australian&aposs opening round of 67 had him on top of the leaderboard alongside Casey Devoll but windy conditions on day two saw him card a disappointing four-over 76 to fall to one-under. Bonhomme wasn&apost the only golfer to struggle, however, with only three players from the 77-man field managing to break 70 at Lantana Golf Club. Devoll remained on top of the leaderboard, his one-under 71 putting him at six-under for the tournament. He is two strokes ahead of Henrik Bjornstad (71), with Jimmy Walker (73), Brian Vranesh (69) and Bryn Parry (66) at three-under. The only other sub-70 round for the day came from 1998 British Open runner-up Brian Watts, who shot a three-under 69. David Lutterus holds a share of 25th spot after a 77 to go with his opening 70, while Terry Pilkadaris (T40), Aaron Townsend (T52) and Steven Bowditch (T64) will struggle to make the top 20 qualifying positions. At Oak Valley Golf Club in California, David McKenzie has rocketed into a share of second place after carding a seven-under-par 65. He is level with PGA Tour veteran Ted Purdy and James Drew at nine-under, one stroke behind Alex Aragon. Former Tour winner Mark Hensby is among four players tied for 11th, four shots off the lead at six-under. Richard Lee sits in a tie for 18th at four-under, while Phil Tataurangi and Luke Hickmott sharing 40th spot at one-under.
